trust and love
One cannot trust others if one does not trust anything at all, not even onself. Afterall, if one knows oneself to be unreliable, and even unreliable in the notion of unreliability, one cannot Sartre’ly trust other’s via “by extension”.
One cannot love others if one does not love anything at all, not even onself. Afterall, if one believes himself to be unlovable, how could anyone else be? If one does try to trust and love others before him or herself, the connections formed can only be impure and untrue.
Thus, trust and love must start with the self. One must first be arrogant, brash, harsh, and headstrong. Once this as been achieved, one can begin to love and trust himself.
And this is the first step.
